Love the number 2

I have always loved the number 2 since I was a little girl I don't know why but it makes me happy the shape saying it writing it 2 is just a fabulous number.


Now the size 2 is the size of my pants again.
Whahoo  it feels great .
I have been abel to button a size 2 for 2 months but I always had a muffin top so I did not conceder myself a 2 yet.
We now I fit into a 2 and to be honest they are loose on me.
I love that feeling.
It give me the assurance that if I keep up with what I am doing I will hit my goal look by my birthday.

Getting faster and more fit!



My running times are getting faster and my distance longer.
Today's 5K time was 22 mins I was astounded out of breath but shocked at what my body could do.
I almost a year ago I wanted to be a runner .
I really hated it at first i kept with it to keep my goal.
I can now say I love running I understand why people say its a spiritual experience.
I love running and being in my head I do a lot of thinking praying and understanding when I run.

I have also started regular work outs and I see my body shrinking my girls to be exact . I have a love hate issue with this I know when I start loosing weight in my breast that my body is in a weight lost zone.
I feel good and I have lots of energy.
Hopefully in the next few week I will be in my jean size goal.

Its official I am a runner!

A few weeks ago I had emergency surgery and was in and out of the hospital for a week.
I am all better now but when I was on the pulse ox machine I kept setting it off.
I was really freaking out the nurses and Dr. with how low my heart rate was. 
I guess the machine is set for 50 beats a minute which is a low heart rate well  my heart rate was between 45 and 40.
They kept asking me if this was normal?
I said I have no idea since I never go to the Dr. because I am never sick.
After my heart rate monitor went off for the 10th time a Dr. came in and asked me some questions.
DR.: Do you work out regularly
Me: yes I do.
DR.:What kind of work outs do you do?
Me: Aerobic, strength Cardio, Yoga.
After looking puzzled a moment he said.
Mr.s Wilderness are you a runner?
Me: I run every day I would like to think I am a runner but I have never ran a race.
The Dr. chuckled and Said well Mrs. Wilderness your heart is telling me you are a runner.
As sick as I was I had a lot of pride when he said those words.
Evedently runners have lower heart rates than the average person.
Not normally as low as mine but we think the drugs had a little help in that.

So here I am the after my first run post surgery.
It had Been two weeks since I had last ran I took it pretty easy I only ran 3 miles.
I was up to five before I got sick I was was a little sad that I regressed but I smiled every time my foot hit the road.
I kept hearing the DR.s words your heart rate says you are a runner.

How to burn 1700 calories in 3 hours or less.


Climb the worlds  largest stair stepper.
Then hike 3 miles to get back down that's how.

The other day 6 other girls and I hiked the incline in Manitou springs Co.

I tell you it was a hard hike for me because of the 2000 feet elevation change.
I got elevation sickness but I did it I hiked to the top!

I was very proud of my self and happy that I did it.
The nice part is when I weighed my self the next day and a few days later just to confirm it I lost 4 lbs.
I am sure the 4lbs were not just from the hike but the daily work outs I have been doing.
I have to say that 4lb loss has motivated me to do it again next week.

Getting faster.

I have been back at running for 3 weeks now I have an established route that I run 5 times a week and jog 5 times a week.
I started running and jogging to quicken my time and to build more stamina.
It has worked I have shaved 2 minuets off my 5k time I also can run a mile in 6:40 I even got a high 5 from Garret my 13 year old track star.
He said and I quote " The average track kids time is 6:30 your pretty fast mom.
I then asked him what is mile time is he smiled I am not average.
I asked him again whats your time  he smirked and said 5:20 but there is a few boy that do it in 5 minuets flat.
My jaw doped and I said I guess I am ok with being average.
He said mom your fast for an old lady.
I had to laugh who knows maybe I am fast for an old lady.


Along with running I have been doing Jillian Micheal Ripped in 30 day I am half way through week 2 .
I love this DVD I always feel strong when I do it and look better to.
I hope to be back to where I was in march by the end of June.
so far I have lost the 5 pounds I gained but some how still feel like I look big.

Seeing this family pictuer from this week end did not help.
I don't know if it was the way I was standing or not but I look like a huge blob.
The funny thing is I took this photo earlier that day and don't feel like I look as big.

Any ways both of thees pictures are motivating me to work harder.

So hopefully I will look and feel skinnier in a few weeks.

Here I go again!


With me being really sick, going to Alaska, becoming a grandmother and moving work outs have been on a back burner.
I have done almost nothing these last 2 months I gained 5 pounds and I feel yuckie in my clothes.
Last week I new think needed to get back on track so I started running again.
I am running and doing yoga I feel great and lost 2lbs last week.
My clothes feel a little bit looser and I feel good.
I love being on the road and running again.
I am up to 3 miles 5 times a week.
I hope to be running 5 miles by the end of summer with little effort.
I also plan on being the size I want to be by the time fall hits then I have a reason to buy all new fall clothes right.

6 min 55 sec.

That was my mile time today!
Yes I am proud of myself when I looked at my phone and saw my time about died.
I new I was fast this round but come on not that fast. I normally average just under 9 minuets.
I also normally run 3 miles but today I decided to see how fast I could run a mile.
I started out strong and thought I was doing good then some young teenage boy sped past me something snapped inside me and I thought I needed to keep up with this young kid.
I did it I kept up with him then the wistel blew on my phone telling me my mile was done. I slowed down to a jog and jogged for about 5 mins so my heart rate could come down then I went to a brisk walk for 2 minuets.
I tell by the end of that run I could not breath I was literally gasping for air my lungs burned but I felt good!!
I really cant believe how hard I pushed myself  Now lets see if I can do it again!

Having a pity party!

I am very bloated today and feeling fat I know its probably pre period weight but still I feel fat.
I am trying to stay positive so I looked at pictures of my belly that I have been taking since I started this journey. 
I have to say I was shocked at how big my belly was before I started I am shocked because I never felt I looked fat before but now seeing my pix from January 1st and march 1st I am stunned at how fat I was.
My body type just gains wait in my middle so the rest of me is always small plus I know how to dress to hide any thing I don't want others to see. 
After looking at my belly pix it made me feel better about myself and proud at how far I have come.
I am not going to share the pix just yet I will share them all when I have met my fitness goal.

Here is my story and I am sticking to it!

First off I feel like a real runner running in cold weather snow and the wind!
There is something satisfying about seeing your running tracts in the snow.

I was also surprised at my speed and endurance.
I know weight training has been helping my ruining time.
I also think I am finally acclimated to this High altitude.
For the first time I can really say I am enjoying running.
I really look forward to it and some days run twice just because it feel goods.
I know at this point I could run a 5 k and not be the last one done.
Maybe I will start with a 5 k and work my way up to a half marathon like I want to.
Who know by the end of fall I might have 3 races under my belt LOL.

OK now for the story!
As I was running this morning in the cold wind and snow I ran past an old man that I always run past he amazes me.
He is a fast runner and runs in any weather.
He also always takes the time to smile wave and say HI when I run by.
Today was a little different as I was running by I smiled and waved like always.
I then heard darling darling.
I stooped took my ear buds out and he said " Although you have quite a cute bottom for modesty sakes you might want to get some new running pants." I looked at him funny he pointed down I looked to see my pants half way down my hips with a good portion of my bum showing off my cute lacy panties.
I thanked him pulled up my pants and kept on running.
I blame it on the cold my bum was so cold I could not feel my pants falling down.

Because I love myself!

Today is my favorite day of the year Valentines day!
Today 22 years a go I married my one true Love!
Because I love myself I worked out and I am eating right no box of Chocolates for this girl!
I did get a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my sweet heart.
Now because I love myself I will go for a run!

feeling fit!!

I cant tell you enough how fit I am feeling.
I have so much energy almost too much I haven't felt this fit and good in 8 years.
I am really truly shocked at how quickly my body is changing.
I was not in horrible shape when I started but I was not in the best shape.
I worked out pretty regular but never have gotten this far in changing my body in the past 2 years since I put on weight.
I have come close but pretty much stayed the same. It always seems like something happened to sabotage my success.
Maybe it is my frame of mind this time or maybe its because I no longer live in the dark all winter long. ( I moved from AK 8 months a go.)
I do know that I have gotten back to my old good eating habits 6 small meals a day and no snacking.
I also work out an hour  plus a day weights and cardio in the morning I walk or run during the afternoon.
I challenged my self to do 50 push ups in a row and 200 squats in a row.
I am only up to 25 push ups but can do 250 squats with out stopping I have always had a stronger lower body then upper.
I also have a little trick I do to keep my idle time at bay so that I am moving all day long.
I will share that later.
I cant wait to see what the end results will be because I am already liking the 4 and a half week results.

I am doing it!

I finished Ripped in 30 and I love how I feel and the changes in my body.
My legs have amazing cuts in them my arms are looking amazing my waist is smaller my tummy is shrinking.
My favorite improvement is my bum!!
My bum looks amazing I have always lacked a bum and now it is round and firm and sexy looking.
I am very happy with how I am shaping up.
I cant wait to see what the next 2 months bring.
I am now doing 6 weeks to a 6 pack and hot body Yoga 5 days a week plus runs when the weather is good.
Honestly I for the first time in my life can say I am loving working out!!

Doing Good!!

I am doing good I am on week 3 of the ripped in 30 days.
I feel good and I am looking good I cant believe how fast my belly is shrinking and my thighs.
I also have noticed great mussel tone in my arms and my bum is lifting and looking awesome!
Next week is my last week on ripped in 30 and I will weigh my self then and see if I have lost any pounds.
I am excited about the changes in my body and I cant wait to see more.

Drinking water can help with weightloss.

I have always known that drinking water is good for you and your health. I also knew that I needed to drink 6 to eight glasses a day. I even knew water is the reason your body works the way it does and without water your body would not be able to perform even the simplest functions.  I even new water also helps the way your body looks and it can help you lose weight and become more fit.

 But here is a few things I did not know I did not know that drinking ice water helps you burn calories t it takes one calorie to warm 1 kg of ice water by 1 degree C. Drinking 64 oz. of water a day will help you burn an extra 70 calories, estimates Mark McManus of the website Muscle Hack.

I also did not know that a person who increases his water consumption by 1.5 liters a day would burn an extra 17,400 calories, for a weight loss of approximately five pounds. They note that up to 40% of the increase in calorie burning is caused by the body's attempt to heat the ingested water. The findings are reported in the December issue of The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.

I also did not know that drinking water would make your skin healthily and make you look younger.

I guess there is more to water than quenching your thirst.





Running

I have always wanted to be a great runner.
There is one problem I really don't love to run.
This is my year that I will learn to love running.

I love this quote and will keep it as my inspiration.
I have set some running goals one of them being running a half marathon.
It is a big goal 13.1 miles.
This month my goal is to run 3 miles every other day at least.
I am hoping I run the 3 miles in 28 mins.


Getting ripped!!

This so far is my favorite of Jillian Michaels work outs.
It is easy to do but the work out is hard.
I love that there is an eating plan and I love that there is a promise of  big results in 30 days.
I started the eating plan and workouts on Monday and the only issue I have is there is no portion sizes to the eating plan that I have seen.
I took pictures and measured and cant wait to see if it worked.
I will share the pix and measurements when I am done even I will even let you see my fat belly witch I hate and hope to be gone the most at the end of this 30 days.

This is my year!!

I cant blame having kids on making me out of shape I was in better shape after having them than I am.
I think me weight gain and being out of shape came from being depressed and a little laziness on my part.
In April I will be 39 and decided that this year I will do every thing in my power to leave my 30's in the shape I want to start my 40's.
So I am doing it no excuse.

I love this Quote I put it on my mirror so I can remember why I am in pain for the next few weeks.
I have a plan I am going to try in on Monday it is a 30 day Challenge and I think it is a great way to start out my goal of being the best me.
So here I go No regrets!
